The June Sprints is held every year at Road America in Elkhart lake, and this prestigious event draws the best racers from around the country. This year more than 60 Spec Miatas took to this hallowed track for the first qualifying session.
The track feaures 14 turns with 3 long straights and is over 4 miles in length, which means that drafting is an essential element of getting a good qualifying time. Rossini team mates Danny Steyn, Michael Carter and Michael Gagliardo executed precision team driving in qualifying, nailing down the provisional top 3 spots.
Since Q1 was run in hot conditions, and Q2 is early in the morning on Saturday, it is expected that the provisional times will not hold, so here is hoping that our Rossini team mates can get it done again in Q2.
