Danny Steyn and Selin Rollan lockout front row for the Roebling Road Majors for Rossini Racing Engines

The 2017 SE Conference Majors comes to a close this weekend at Roebling Road. ROssini drivers Selin Rollan and Michael Carter lead the points race and need to secure wins to clinch the championship against Alex Bolanos who has three wins and three 2nd place finishes.

In this mornings qualifying Rossini drivers Danny Steyn and Selin Rollan laid down some blisteringly quick laps in the hot humid conditions, locking out the front row. Steyn’s time of 1:22.072, was 1-1/2 tenths faster than Rollan who was a mere 7/1,0000ths faster than TOdd Buras in 3rd place. Rossini driver Preston Pardus qualified 4th 2-1/2 tenths behind Buras.

Michael Carter was the first casualty of the weekend, going off on his first lap of qualifying, and ending up buried in the forest, missing the entire session. That will put him last on the grid for Race 1 which takes place directly after lunch.

All eyes will be on the championship battle between Bolanos and Rollan, and if all goes well, Carter might be able to get to the front and join in the battle.
