VIR has always been a great proving ground for engines, with elevation changes needing torque, and the three 5th gear straights requiring top end horsepower. So a good Spec Miata engines has to have grunt at the bottom end and breathe well at the top end. And Rossini engines continue to dominate at this demanding track.
This weekend Rossini drivers Jason Connole and Brian Wright showed what they can do, and Connole went head to head against one of the most formidable talents on the track, Tom Fowler of OPM Autosports. Fowler and Connole went back and forth throughout the entire race, but Connole was able to hang on for the win by 11 thousandths of a second. Wright managed to hold on for third place, securing his first Spec Miata podium.
Thanks for representing our engines so well guys, and congrats on a great season. We are already looking forward to 2017!
