The 2020 NASA SE season got off to an early start at the challenging Roebling Road Raceway this past weekend
In qualifying for Saturday’s race Aiden Baker Crouse qualified 5th out of 18 cars. Once the race started on Saturday Aiden pushed Yan Dia to the lead as the field started lap two. The next lap, Rossini teammate Grant West pushed Aiden to the lead. Contact between Broderick Bauguess and Grant West in turn 1 allowed Aiden to pull ahead of the field, and took the last lap flag with a commanding 3 second lead, to only have an out of class lapped car run him off track in turn 5. This caused him to lose the lead and he ultimately finish 2nd. Yan Dia picked up the win with Rossini Teammate Keith Williamson finishing 3rd.
In qualifying for Sunday’s race Aiden Baker Crouse qualified 3rd. At the beginning of the race Aiden and Broderick Bauguess worked together to pull away from the field. Aiden got to the lead on lap 6 when Broderick went off track in turn 1 as a light sprinkle of rain started. The light rain only lasted a short period of time. Aiden pulled away for the wind with Rossini Teammate Keith Williamson in 2nd and Yan Dia 3rd.
